The lack of trained teachers is a significant impediment to the successful implementation of a competency-based curriculum (CBC). Teacher training is crucial for effective delivery of the CBC, which aims to produce skilled labor. Without adequate teacher preparation, the shift to CBC may result in inefficient trial-and-error approaches rather than achieving desired outcomes. The success of CBC implementation relies heavily on the educators' ability to deliver the new curriculum effectively.
Yes I fully agree that the Teachers are the key implementers of the CBC and its important that they fully understand it, so they can be able to deliver it as natives and not as the unconverted. They should be able to speak the same language as the developers. This can only be archived by continuous training and support.
I would also wish to encourage the trained Teachers to become advocates for the CBC.
And whenever we get opportunity let's embrace the CBC
This is very true. All these efforts of using ICT are aimed at ensuring that teachers get supported. With ICT, we ensure that uniform content is shared without distortions. Even if one missed a workshop, it's possible to catch up here.
Imagine all teachers in this country on this platform!!!!

The issue of inadequate training due to shortage of funds is a serious issue which affects service delivery. Many teachers receive only brief orientation workshops rather than sustained in-service training. Without continuous capacity building, teachers will continue to struggle to internalize and apply learner-centered strategies such as project-based assessment. In addition, teachers who have not gained mastery in these techniques i.e., guiding discussions, managing group activities etc., will continue to use lecture-style delivery, undermining the core principles of CBC.
