Most rural teachers lack exposure. Imagine teacher handling commerce or economics but have never physically visited an airport or rail station. Such person cannot competently guide students on air or rail transport. Similar issues are in Geography, where we don't visit our neighbourhood sites.
This is very interesting Dr. Kitambo. The curriculum has moved beyond theory. This requires hands on and experienced based teaching. Otherwise, it will be very difficult for the rural schools to adapt quickly.
